Something Awesome Day 4: The last Saturday my parents were in Dublin, we went in search of a trad session and landed at the Cobblestone in Smithfield. Using his friendly perseverance, Dad found us seats in the corner next to the circle of musicians. Later we would learn that Dad was sitting next to a legend of traditional Irish music, the bouzouki player Dónal Lunny. Click here to see a snippet of Dónal in action.
It was a great night chatting with friendly folks and hearing fabulous musicians. One guy told me we picked the best possible place to come. I agree. Mighty craic!
